Getting there and Parking

Inform yourself how to get to the nature sanctuary.

Because the area is quite big, there are different ways to visit it. The best is to come by foot or bike. Please use the public transport system, because there are few parking spaces.

 

Public transport

By train (OEBB) to Zell am See train station, then take regional bus No. 70 or 640 to Schüttdorf.

By local train "Pinzgauer Lokalbahn" to station Tischlerhäusl. There by foot following the Karl-Vogt-street to the nature reserve in the south-east (entrance tennis hall or Porsche horse riding club), else take the regional bus 3437.

Parking

You can leave your car on the public parking space of Bruck, Schüttdorf and Thumersbach. The best and easist way is to park in the south of the sanctuary close to the commercial area of Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße. Parking place in the north at the lido Erlberg is often full in summer, but a good place to start for you ornithological walks in spring and autumn. At the tennis hall in Schüttdorf there are only few public parking spaces available.

Parking lot South

Approach via the B 311 from Bruck/Großlocknerstraße turn at the roundabout coming to Thumersbach on the L 247. After crossing the train tracks and the Canal turn left to the parking lot south.
